With the cooler weather comes a time that many New Englanders wait all year for: skiing, snowboarding and tubing! The activity of tubing has been around for so many years and is a great activity to partake in no matter how old you are. It is something that a lot of people can remember growing up doing with their family and friends, graduating from small hills in their backyard to real ski areas to tube at – day and night! If you are living in the Massachusetts area, or you are planning to visit, here are some of our favorite places to go tubing
- Nashoba Valley Ski Area. Possibly one of the most popular ski areas in the state, Nashoba Valley Ski Area is located in Westford and has 18 lanes available – the largest snow tubing venue in New England! When arriving to Nashoba, you can purchase two-hour passes or full packs of passes if you are one to visit frequently. You can enjoy tubing in the daylight or at night under the lights!
- Ski Ward Ski Area and Tube Slide. Ski Ward is a great place to take kids who are not that familiar with tubing, as it is a much smaller ski area but still a great time! Ski Ward, located in Shrewsbury, is made up of eight lanes and offers tubing year-round! Even when there is no snow on the ski area, you can still get a feel for tubing and learn some techniques before the season rolls around.
- Berkshire East Mountain Resort. Berkshire East Mountain Resort gets busy quite fast due to its huge tubing lanes located in Charlemont. This is a great place to take anyone of any age, for a full family event, as there is a Children’s Center offering fun tubing opportunities for smaller children.
