Killington Resort, Vermont

While no one likes seeing warmer days come to an end, there is a huge excitement for many people, especially in New England, about ski and snowboarding season being just around the corner. Regardless of how experienced you are in skiing or snowboarding, visiting and lodging at a resort is a great time for everyone, and a great way to spend time with family and friends throughout the winter months. This week, we are featuring another one of our favorite resorts – Killington Resort!

Killington Resort is more than just a place to ski and snowboard, as there is a wide variety of activities to participate in! They are known for constantly having bands, festivals or competitions such as the Audi FIS Ski World Cup or FOX US Open of Mountain Biking. Not to mention, Killington Resort has over 100 restaurants surrounding it for visitors to indulge in delicious dinners, tubing, snowmobile tours, snowshoeing and sleigh rides around the holiday season. And, after a long day out on the slopes, you can enjoy their full spa to get some relaxation on!

For skiers and snowboarders of all different abilities, Killington offers runs, moguls, steeps and trees. They have a total of 155 trails with 28 of them listed as “easy” if you are planning on traveling with anyone younger or inexperienced. And, Killington has 22 lifts with two express gondolas, for your convenience. Although Killington can get crowded, there is definitely enough fun to go around for everyone!

Most recently, Killington features its new high speed six-person bubble chair, called their Snowdon Ski Express. This offers a bubble shield for skiers and riders to be protected from wind and any weather conditions as they head up to the Snowdon Mountain peak (for more intermediate riders.) Next time you’re in Vermont – make sure Killington is on your bucket list!
